John Lyons wins TP Vision – Philips Ambilight TV – sponsored ‘Live’ category at the inaugural Abbey Road Studios Music Photography Awards 2022

The Abbey Road Studios Music Photography Awards is a new annual global music photography competition designed to celebrate each year’s unforgettable, unique and unsung music moments and the photographers who captured them.

TP Vision – through its Philips Ambilight TV portfolio – as the official TV partner to Abbey Road Studios supplying screens throughout the complex, was honoured to be invited to the support the ‘Live Music‘ category and is now delighted to be able to congratulate photographer John Lyons as the winner of the Live Music Photography category for the inaugural 2022 event.

As part of his prize John will receive a Philips 55” OLED+936 TV – a multi award winning product that combines the best of Philips picture quality with superb sound from specialist audio legends Bowers & Wilkins plus the unique immersive experience of Ambilight technology. John’s atmospheric winning image features London-based multi-instrumentalist David Mrakpor playing with Ruben Fox at the much loved 606 Jazz club in Chelsea, London.

Commenting on the winning photograph John said: ‘What I love about this image is the intense look on David’s face as he watches Rueben playing his solo and waits for the cue to re-enter the music. I am trying to establish myself as a photographer on the live music scene in London, so this is really a great honour’.

Philips OLED+ Ambilight TVs are also designed to capture and recreate the smallest or largest performance in the most realistic and immersive fashion in order to deliver an exceptional picture and sound experience as close as possible to the live event.
