Responsibility
  • Organizing an efficient Cash Collection process in Benelux: monitoring all incoming payments on a daily basis, secure all payments are allocated to open AR positions & cleared
  • Communicating the Payment specification to Cash Application team
  • Proactively contacting customers regarding overdue payments or/and claims
  • Carry out proactive actions in order to avoid and reduce overdues, and resolve cases
  • Regularly communicating and collaborating with clients` finance teams, and with our internal stakeholders - Sales, Financial team, Order Fulfilment team, Back-office and other teams.
  • Monitor open queries and follow up on disputes
  • Reconciliation of open balances with customers and proper follow up to clean up the balance
  • Sorting the customer documents arriving to SSC (from local P.O.Boxes) and securing all documents have proper landing spots/owners
  • Occasional ad hoc tasks: preparing required documents for External auditors, reporting, etc.
Purpose Of The Position

The Collection Accountant is part of the Collection team, which consists of 4 Collection Accountants and 1 Supervisor. The whole Collection team is responsible for all clients in Europe (excluding DACH, Italy, Spain and Portugal). This team is based within the European Shared Service Centre in Prague.

This goal of the role is to take care of the Benelux portfolio of clients. You will need to organize an efficient Cash Collection process: monitor and allocate incoming payments on daily basis, collaborate with internal Finance, Sales and Back Office teams, as well as being in regular contact with customers.

Education And Related Experience

Must-have requirements:

  • Working experience: 1–3 years of experience ideally in Collections or Customer Service, also possible AR/AP Accounting. Do not worry if you do not have previous experience in finance, we can teach you ☺️
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written form.
  • Emotionally mature personality with patience to communicate with different stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and systematic approach
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel (you will need to know VLOOKUP, pivot tables etc).
  • Proactive approach to work and problem-solving
  • Education: Min. secondary school

  • Experience working in SAP system is a big advantage
  • Knowledge of an additional European language
  • Experience working with Salesforce
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
