New 2025 Philips Headphones and Audio ranges

Philips 2025 AVA range includes new headphones, alarm clock radios, all-in-one mini hi-fi systems and portable CD sound systems – all designed with a focus on easy repairs and sustainability

  • Launched in September and available in black or white, the H8000E is a lightweight fully featured, mid-range, over-ear, wireless ANC headphone
  • A new three model kids headphone range includes both wired and wireless models that are all volume level limited. The K2000 & K4200 are launched in April and the K5500 is launched in July.
  • Four model mini HiFi range includes M3205M2 & M3505M2 both launched in February and the M4205M2 & M4505M2 both launched in September
  • Two alarm clock radio products include DAB, DAB+ and FM tuners The R5100 will be launched in June and the R5600 will be launched July.
  • Two new portable CD sound systems, the Z5000 & Z6000 are launched in February.
  • Sustainability is key for all products in the range and includes replaceable batteries Detachable ear and headband cushions PCR plastics and FSC-certified packaging.

H8000E – Mid-range over-ear, wireless ANC headphones

The H8000E is a wireless, hybrid adaptive ANC, over-ear headphone with a lightweight, folding design, available in black or white.

Sound quality is excellent thanks to Philips audio designed large, graphene coated, 40 mm drivers and Hi-Res audio (LDAC) playback plus AAC & LC3 compatibility plus Spatial Audio for immersive sound.

Wireless connectivity is via Bluetooth 5.4 with the H8000E also offering Multipoint and Auracast functionality.

The H8000E includes five mics – two AI mics are used for calls and four mics can be used for ANC – to ensure superb call quality and ANC. Effective wind noise reduction is included and there are five levels of ANC available – selectable via the Philip Headphones App.

Battery life is excellent 70 hours of playback – ANC off with 50 hours with ANC on. A quick charge facility gives eight hours of playback in just 10 minutes.

Sustainability plays a key role in the design of the H8000E with easily replaceable integral batteries and detachable ear pads.

The H8000E also includes a significant content of PCR plastics in its construction.

K2000/K4200/K5500 – headphones built for kids

The new kids range features three new models, that are tough, durable, foldable, comfortable, colourful, safe – with a volume limiter set to 85dB on all three models – and always fun.

Launched in April, the K2000 is an on-ear wired headphone available in Magenta Purple with Bright Aubergine and Magano Calcite ear-cup holders or in Crystal Teal and Blue Pavone with Tarragon Green.

Compatible with most portable devices, the K2000 has a 3.5mm jack as standard with a 3.5mm to USB-C adaptor also supplied in the box. Kids can also share their audio with other friends’ headphones via an accessory 3.5mm connection cable.

The K2000 features PCR plastics in its construction and is delivered in plastic free sustainable packaging.

The K4200 is also launched in April and is an on-ear wireless headphone that shares the same design and colours of the K2000 but adds multi-colour LED lights to the outside of the ear-cups, to increase the fun factor.

Wireless connectivity is via Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint and easy audio sharing.
Battery life is impressive at 45 hours with a quick charge facility offering an extra six hours in just 15 minutes.

The K4200 can be controlled via the Philips Entertainment App, allowing parents to set limits on how the product is used.

Sound quality is good – for both calls and other content. – and follows Philips Audio’s policy of offering a ‘well-rounded’ audio playback that has good resolution and is both slightly warm and natural.

The K4200’s design has been heavily influenced by the need for sustainability, featuring PCR plastics in its construction and is delivered in plastic free sustainable packaging.

Launched in July, the K5500 is an over-ear design with wireless connectivity and Hybrid ANC. While the K5500 offers a high specification, they remain easy and safe to use thanks to the inclusion of child-friendly control buttons.

The design is available in a choice of Real Teal & Baby Blue or Amberlight and Bright white and the soft padded headband and ear-cushions have been specially fine-tuned for kids’ heads…… and ears.

The K5500’s Active Noise Cancelling helpfully shuts out all background noise that can distract kids when traveling or learning. The system features five mics to guarantee quality for both calls and ANC.

Wireless connectivity is via Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint and easy audio sharing.

The K5500 offers a design that is heavily influenced by sustainability, featuring a high content of PCR plastics in its construction and is delivered in plastic free sustainable packaging.

R5100 and R5600 – Compact and attractive Portable clock radios that look and sound great

Both of the new stylish portable clock radios include a large LCD display and offer a choice of DAB, DAB+ or FM listening with digital tuning and 20 presets – 10 DAB and 10 FM – easily accessible via five, top-mounted, direct entry keys. Alternatively, both products offer easy streaming via a Bluetooth 5.3 connection.

Launched in June, the R5100 has a compact and attractive design in a vertical orientation and measuring 106 x 159 x 99mm (WxHxD). Sound quality is good thanks a 2.5” full range speaker and 2.5W RMS power.

Launched in July, the larger R5600 is in a horizontal orientation measuring 222x137x85mm (WxHxD) with a 3.5” full range speaker and 5W RMS power.

Both products can easily be carried from room-room – and thanks to a IPX4 splash-proof rating, that can happily include them being used in the kitchen or bathrooms.

In addition, both products offer a clock and alarm functionality.

M2 Mini HiFi systems – all-in-one systems combine multi format audio into a single stylish, convenient mini sized unit

The new four model mini-system models all manage to combine tuners, amplifiers, CD players, Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity with Auracast, USB audio and a 3.5mm audio input, into a single, stylish unit measuring just 180 x 115 x 224mm (M3505M2, M3205M2) and 220x104x232 mm (M4505M2, M4205M) WxHxD and all matching the size of their separate stereo speakers.

A large LED display and single, multi-control knob dominate the top half of the systems. While the lower half contains the slot mounted CD driver, CD control buttons and the USB audio input.

All four models are also App controlled and are manufactured from PCR plastics.

Launched in February are the silver M3205M2 and anthracite M3505M2. Both systems have 20W RMS of power and have a 3” full range driver in each speaker.

The M3205M2 has an FM Tuner where the M3505M2 adds a DAB+ tuner.

Launched in September are the silver M4205M2 and anthracite M4505M2, with both systems adding more power – 80W RMS – and now featuring a dedicated 2” tweeter and a 4” mid/bass driver in each speaker.

The M4205M2 is FM only while M4505M2 adds a DAB+ tuner.

All in-one portable CD sound machines

February will see the launch of two new portable all-in-sound machines with the introduction of the Z5000 and Z6000.

Measuring 310 x 128 x 210mm (WxHxD), both sound machines are larger enough to offer some serious audio quality while remaining portable and easy to carry from room to room.

Both the Z5000 and Z6000 are fully featured including top mounted CD players, Auracast compatible Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, and USB audio playback. The Z5000 has an FM Tuner while the Z6000 adds DAB+.

The Z5000 and Z6000 include a large LCD display on the front panel, along with touch button controls for the CD player and tuner. Alternatively, both products can be controlled via the Philips Entertainment App.

Power output is 4W RMS for both models, delivered through two 3” full range drivers.
