Smart TV now available on Philips’ entry level 3500 Smart LED TV series, including models with small screen sizes, to fit any room at home perfectly
Amsterdam, The Netherlands – Today, Philips announced its new 3500 series TVs featuring LED backlit Full HD screens, enhanced connectivity features and Smart TV applications. The 3500 models expand Philips’ Smart TV offering across all price categories including entry level. The new range provides excellent picture and sound quality. The 3500 series will be available during the second quarter of 2012 in Europe, Russia, the Middle East and in selected countries in Latin America1 and the Asia- Pacific1 region.
Smart TV at an affordable price
With the new 3500 series, the online world of Smart TV is no longer the reserve of owners of high-class and mid-range TVs. Featuring a basic set of Smart TV applications, the 3500 series models make Smart TV truly affordable. The 3500 series models let users enjoy YouTube videos in high quality. DLNA support2 facilitates playback of photos, music, and movies stored on other DLNA compatible devices such as smartphones, tablets or PCs.
Compact yet fully equipped TV models suit kitchens and small rooms perfectly
The 3500 series includes models with small screen sizes down to 48cm (19’’). It can provide the perfect TV for every room in the house: the compact TVs could be used in a small kitchen or bathroom, for example. Yet despite their small size, there’s no compromise on features and connectivity on these compact TVs. They even have a digital tuner supporting DVB-C and DVB-T reception onboard.
Ready to connect to the wireless home network
Thanks to numerous USB and HDMI ports, the 3500 series LED TVs connect seamlessly to peripherals such as PCs, DVDs and Blu-ray players, storage devices and set-top boxes without the need for perpetual plugging and unplugging. Using an optional wireless USB adaptor, they can connect to a wireless home network. Being DLNA certified, the TVs allow easy content streaming from other connected devices that also support DLNA.
