European product design triumphs once again as Philips TV & Sound wins three 2025 iF Design Awards

TP Vision, a company with a well proven commitment to European design excellence for its Philips branded TV and Audio products has once again received the highest professional recognition by winning three 2025 iF Design Awards for outstanding product design.

The 2025 winners include the new premium Philips OLED+910 Ambilight TV, the new mid-ranged Philips OLED 850/860 TV, part of the OLED800 Ambilight Series, and the Philips K4200 Kids wireless on-ear headphone. All three products were created by TP Vision’s dedicated European Design team, based in Amsterdam.

Since 1954, the iF Product Design Award has offered the highest recognition to the very best of product design from around the globe, with the competition in 2025 attracting nearly 11,000 design submissions from 66 countries. The award continues to highlight the importance of outstanding design, it’s social relevance and influence, while continuing to encourage innovation for a better future with an increased emphasis on sustainability.

Commenting on the 2025 award wins, Rod White, Chief Design Officer for TP Vision said: ‘I would like to personally thank all the expert judges from the iF Product Design Awards for once again recognising TP Vision’s dedication to European design as a core part of all Philips TV and Sound products, and for our continued use of design as a key differentiator in a very competitive market space’.

Philips OLED+910 Ambilight TV

Designed to communicate exceptional picture quality, the Philips OLED+910 features the latest META 3.0 OLED technology, including the new primary RBG Tandem panel with a four-layered construction – improving colour gamut and brightness whilst reducing power consumption.

Building on seven years of success of the partnership with Bowers & Wilkins, the OLED910 is the next step in the design of premium TVs featuring integrated visible sound. The main detailing includes Philips ‘pill’ shaped surface signature via the rounding on the speaker surface and also the recycled aluminium feet – to deliberately de-emphasise the technical aspect of the TV, allowing it to fit into modern homes.

The wool mélange fabric from Kvadrat enhances the domesticity of the product, as does the new remote control which conceals secondary buttons. The less used buttons only appear as required and when illuminated, thus reducing visual clutter.

With the superb sound of a Bowers & Wilkins 3.1 frontal sound system and the inclusion of a four-sided version of the Ambilight system, the OLED+910 delivers a totally unique and immersive experience.

Philips OLED850 and OLED860 Ambilight TV

The Philips OLED805 and OLED860 – part of the ultra-successful OLED800 Series – offer exceptional picture and sound quality for a mid-range OLED TV with a design that answers those users who prefer a qualitative central stand plus a seamless option for enhanced sound – and appreciate swivel functionality to rotate the angle of the screen.

The TV has excellent integrated non-visible sound, but for the user who demands more the front bar of the stand offers an extra function by perfectly following the shape of Philips’ super-slim 8200 Soundbar – which includes integrated magnets to allow easy, convenient, and optimal positioning directly onto the metal TV stand.

Aligned, dark metallic finishing for both TV and Soundbar enhance the seamlessness as does the cable cap concealing and leading the Soundbar cables backwards and out of sight.

Philips K4200 Kids wireless on-ear Headphones

The new 4200 Headphones are designed for kids, and reflect the reality that children are now much more informed regarding form and finishing than in the past.

Traditional kids’ products aim at using pink and blue combined with overly cute, often gimmicky details. The 4200 Headphone uses modern clean surfacing with a concentric circular light ring within the on-ear casing adding playfulness.

2025 colour and finishing trends were referenced and allow the headphones to be both outstanding and fresh.

Large, round control buttons on the bottom of the earcups make it easy for kids to use, while smaller earcups with soft earcup cushions make them comfortable to wear.

Designed to be ‘volume’ safe for young ears – these child-friendly headphones are limited to 85 dB – allowing parents to set variable volume limits within a special travel mode or for improved safely from within the Philips app.
