Amsterdam, March 17th, 2015 – The new 2015 portfolio of Philips TVs includes a broad selection of entry-level Full HD models with screen sizes from 56cm (22’’) to 140cm (55’’). Great picture quality is achievable on even a modest budget and combined with access to Smart TV on selected models. The new 4000, 4100, 5300 and 5500 Philips TVs come to market in Europe and Russia during the second quarter of 2015.

Philips 4000/5210 – small screens for every room

The compact and beautifully designed, black Philips 4000 series TVs and the white Philips 5210 are an ideal choice for users with limited space, and consumers who are looking for a second TV with straight-forward TV functions from a reliable brand. They feature Digital Crystal Clear for images with natural colours and good contrast. These TVs offer multiple interfaces and ports for easy connection to other devices.

Philips 4100 – good picture quality at a good price

The 100Hz Picture Motion Rate on these Full HD TVs supplies sharp, fast moving images, while Digital Crystal Clear technology delivers lifelike images from any source – with good contrast and vivid colours. All Philips 4100 series TV models feature a narrow bezel design that sits on an open stand. They also come with a broad choice of interfaces and ports that, for example, allow content to be played from a connected USB memory stick, record broadcasts to a hard disk drive via USB, or stream unprotected content stored on a computer.

Philips 5300 – Smart TVs with good Full HD picture quality

The Philips 5300 series covers a selection of value for money Smart TVs. They offer access to the Philips Smart TV platform featuring a wide selection of catch-up TV and video on demand services as well as online access via browser and dedicated apps. Philips 5300 series TVs display pictures in great Full HD with great contrast. Micro Dimming technology delivers those dark blacks and bright whites by analysing the on-screen content in 6,400 different zones and adjusting the LED backlight accordingly.

Philips 5500 – bringing Android TV to the masses

Philips 5500 Smart TVs are the most affordable Philips TVs that feature the latest version of Android TV™ for a cutting-edge Smart TV experience. They combine the best of two worlds by accessing both the Philips Smart TV platform and the Google Play store with its wide choice of apps optimized for TV usage.
