TF1 joins the Philips Ambilight TV Smart TV Platform

TP Vision and TF1 Group announce a new partnership to bring both free and paid premium content to Philips Ambilight Smart TVs in France
TP Vision, the company responsible for the production, marketing and sales of Philips branded TVs, and TF1 Group, the leading French media company and owner of TF1 – the main commercial TV channel in France – have announced a new partnership that will make the MYTF1 service directly and easily accessible on Philips Smart TVs.
Similarly, to the TF1 Group, Philips already has a significant presence in the French TV market, currently with almost nine % market share and over one million homes featuring a Philips TV.
From August 2023, French viewers watching Philips 2022 and 2023 model year Smart TVs – featuring the new and improved version of the in-house developed Smart TV platform – will be able to simply log-in to MYTF1 and access over 5 000 hours of on-demand content free of charge: including top drama (Mad Men, The Tudors, RIS Police Scientifique) leading movies (with over 100 titles already available from a list being updated daily) great Kids content including Manga (Naruto, Detective Conan) plus the FAST Channels (Alerte à Malibu, Sous le soleil, Palmashow or Les Inconnus, Naruto).
Alternatively, Philips Smart TV viewers subscribing to the MYTF1 MAX service will have access to five live TV channels including: TF1, TMC, TFX, TF1 Séries Films and LCI, with 48-hour previews of current and future daily series, plus the option of a 30-day catch-up facility. All content is provided commercial-free and in HD quality for a monthly fee of €4.99.
And from September 8, MYTF1 MAX subscribers will be able to enjoy live coverage of the Rugby World Cup’s best matches, as well as personnalized video summaries of matches with the Top Chrono feature.
MYTF1 will be one of the first Apps to benefit from an improved and faster version of the in-house developed Philips Smart TV platform featuring a new and more attractive interface giving instant access to the best content, via key media partners, on the personalised home page.
The improved Smart TV platform already includes hundreds of free linear channels and will add more leading apps and casting technology during 2023.
