The newly added Philips 7900 is a reasonably priced 4K Ultra HD TV powered by Android™ that features two-sided Ambilight. The Philips 8900 is the first Philips-branded curved 4K Ultra HD TV. The third new entry to the 4k Ultra HD range, the Philips 9100, has superior picture quality features onboard to meet the needs of demanding movie lovers. These three TV ranges complete TP Vision’s 4K Ultra HD TV offering that also includes the recently introduced Philips 9800 – offering the ultimate in picture quality – and the Philips 8800. The new Philips 7900, Philips 8900 and Philips 9100 TVs will be available during the third quarter in Europe and Russia.
Philips 9100: superior picture quality meets 4-sided Ambilight
The Philips 9100 combines substantial picture processing power and state-of-the-art picture enhancement algorithms, bold design and the capabilities of Android™ – the world’s most popular operating system – to create stunning entertainment and a really fast and fluent user experience.
The Philips 9100 range, with models of 139cm (55”) and 164cm (65”), meets the needs of demanding movie lovers. Its award-winning Perfect Pixel Ultra HD picture quality engine digitally adjusts and optimises picture quality to deliver razor sharp, detailed pictures with great depth and contrast. It also features Ultra Resolution – Philips’ upscaling solution – to display non-UHD content as detailed, clear and sharp as if it were shot in Ultra HD. 1,000Hz Perfect Motion Rate Ultra delivers flawless moving images: playing games or watching action movies and fast-paced sports events is a real pleasure on Philips 4k Ultra HD TVs. Micro Dimming Pro further optimises the contrast to display pictures with deep blacks and bright whites.
4-sided Ambilight in combination with the new ‘Arc stand’ creates the illusion that the Philips 9100 is floating in a halo of light. The Arc stand with its polished chrome finish leaves an open arch below the screen.
Philips 8900: first-ever curved Philips TV
The Philips 8900 is the first-ever curved Philips TV. The 139cm (55’’) 4k Ultra HD TV is powered by AndroidTM and certified by Google. This provides easy access to Google Play Store with its wealth of apps, games and content. In addition, massive processing power together with an AndroidTM operating system allows for the most fluent user interface. The curved Philips 8900 features 3-sided Ambilight.
The Philips 8900 has 1000 Hz Perfect Motion Rate Ultra plus Ultra Resolution to ensure superb motion sharpness. It also features Local Contrast, to further improve the screens’ excellent contrast, and Micro Dimming Pro, a sensor-based technology that dynamically adapts the LED backlight depending on the ambient room light. The latter delivers impressive contrast through deep blacks and bright whites.
Philips 7900: most affordable Philips Ultra HD TV powered by Android™
The new ultra-slim Philips 7900 4k Ultra HD TV is a good choice for users who are on a tighter budget but don’t want to go without UHD picture quality, Android™ and Ambilight. The picture processing algorithms of its Pixel Precise Ultra HD engine upgrades any input picture into UHD resolution to let users experience exceptional sharpness, motion, clarity, color and contrast. 600Hz PMR Ultra delivers flawless moving images to make playing games and watching action movies or fast paced sports events a pleasure. The Philips 7900 has a twin tuner that allows users to record a different programme than the one they are watching.
