Amsterdam, 21st February, 2013 – TP Vision unveils its new PFL7008 and PFL7108 series Philips TVs. The new Smart TVs target consumers who want a sophisticated high-end TV that will sit well in a contemporary interior. Both series are packed with state-of-the-art picture quality features, have 3-sided Ambilight on board and offer excellent ease of use. The PFL7008 and PFL7108 TVs will be available in Europe and Russia in the second quarter of 2013.
Black and white – two design flavours to choose from
The new 7000 range comprises two designs: the Philips PFL7008 features an bezeless front glass panel sitting in a thin rim made of black, brushed aluminium with a silver-coloured strip below the screen. In contrast, the Philips PFL7108 features a trendy, white lower detail, stand and rear cover. Both designs suit contemporary modern interiors perfectly. And even with such slim dimensions the TV’s design manages to integrate a SkypeTM camera below the screen.
First-class picture quality
The Philips PFL7008 and PFL7108 TVs meet all picture quality challenges in both 2D and 3D. Thanks to 700 Hz Perfect Motion Rate, along with Perfect 3D Natural Motion high-level motion artefact compensation, the TVs deliver crisp motion sharpness. 3-sided Ambilight XL further intensifies the viewing experience by seemingly expanding the images beyond the screen.
Easy control of Smart TV services
The comprehensive Philips Smart TV services are easily accessible and controlled via the pointing enabled remote control with built-in keyboard. Embedded sensors instantly identify whether the consumer wants to use the classic cursor-based input mode or whether the user prefers typing with the keyboard on the remote control’s rear side.
Content streaming and advanced network capabilities
To support a wide selection of second-screen usage scenarios, the Philips PFL7008 and PFL7108 TVs support various state-of-the-art streaming applications. Philips MyRemote app, Wi-Fi Miracast™ and SimplyShare allow wireless streaming to and from mobile devices in the house. Access to social media while watching TV, is also possible. The new Philips TVs are also ready to be automatically upgraded to MultiRoom viewing, using an application that streams content from the master TV to a secondary TV.
